If using a PowerPoint (or any other computer) presentation, please note you need to bring it on a "disk on key" Memory stick (using the USB port in the computer) and load it on one of the Congress' computers in the Speakers' Ready Room, at least 1 hour before the start of the session.
Please note that the congress computers in the session halls are being supplied with Office 2013 (at least).
If combining video films with PowerPoint, please make sure to check it in the session hall where your lecture is taking place during a coffee or lunch break prior to your session, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session - even after checking it in the Speakers' Ready Room.
Alternatively you may supply your own laptop computer. In such a case please confirm that it has a VGA socket for external signal and come to check it first in the Speakers' Ready Room as soon as you arrive and later on in the session hall where your lecture is taking place during the coffee or lunch break prior to your session, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session.
Important note for Macintosh users
In order to use MAC presentations on a PC compatible computer please note that you need to prepare it according to the instructions below, before bringing it to the Speakers' Ready Room:
1. Use a common font, such as Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana etc. (special fonts might be changed to a default font on a PowerPoint based PC).
2. Insert pictures as JPG files (and not TIF, PNG or PICT - these images will not be visible on a PowerPoint based PC ).
Alternatively you may use your own Macintosh laptop computer. GUIDELINES FOR E-POSTER PRESENTERS
E-Posters will be available for viewing throughout the Congress.
The presenter may stand by the E-Poster Viewing screens in order present their E-Poster during breaks as indicated in the program for informal discussions / questions regarding their work.
All authors will be contacted for all preparation details and technical aspects of E-posters in due course.
Poster presentations accepted for the Meeting will be available for viewing as E-Posters, available online and via the Mobile App during and after the Meeting. Electronic Posters or E-Posters are similar to traditional paper posters, but displayed on-site on multiple large LCD television screens. Any E-Poster can be viewed on any screen at any time during the Meeting as well as on mobile devices (smartphones. tablets and laptops) via the Meeting App. These E-Posters platforms allow users to browse by topics, search for specific content and submit questions to the authors. The author of the E-Poster may stand by the E-Poster screens in order present their E-Poster during breaks. Additionally, delegates will be able to email the presenter via the E-Poster system to set up a meeting to discuss the E-Poster. E-Poster screens can be found in the E-Poster area. Authors have been encouraged to embed explanatory audio or video presentations with their E-Posters. These posters do not require printing or production of materials – as your work will be available for viewing electronically.
Instructions for the Preparation of E-Posters
E-Poster presenters will receive an email with a unique link in order to upload the E-Posters which were accepted for presentation. Detailed online support is available during the upload. For poster-related questions, M Events, the E-Poster Vendor, can be contacted at: WSPID@m-events.com
Please upload your E-Poster as a 1-page PDF-file in landscape orientation. Please click here to see an example that you can use as a template.
Please see the following technical requirements for the ePoster:
• File format: PDF
• Pixels: 7680 width x 4320 height (landscape orientation, 16:9)
• In cm: 65.0 width x 36.5 height (landscape orientation, 16:9)
• Font size: not smaller than 18
Only PDF files will be accepted - other formats are not permitted. Posters attached to an email cannot be processed.
Paper poster presenters are invited to upload their paper print file in PDF format.
When your poster has been successfully submitted, you will receive an e-mail confirmation.
All uploaded posters can uploaded until November 23. If you have not received the link to upload your E-Poster please email WSPID@m-events.com.
